Last Chance Garage at Walthamstow International Film Festival

Last Chance Garage

Rick Maylender spent several years behind bars for a string of bank robberies. Now out of prison, he has set up Last Chance Garage to help at-risk teens steer clear of trouble by teaching them useful skills, including how to recover and restore abandoned classic cars.

Our short documentary Last Chance Garage has been shortlisted for the 6th annual Walthamstow International Film Festival, and you’ll have 3 opportunities to see it! First up is the main event, at the lovely Vestry House Museum. This takes place Sunday June 7 from 12:00 – 17:00 and features short films from around the world.

The second and third events are at E17’s big, brand new, and beautiful Empire Cinemas and take place Saturday June 13 and Sunday June 14, 10:30-11:30 AM. These screenings are for films shortlisted for competition and will include a Q&A session with the filmmakers. In competition with several other wonderful shorts, we’re in the running for Best Documentary, Best Of Festival and the Audience awards.

So if you’re in London, make sure you hop on the Victoria line, head north until you can’t head north anymore, and give us some support! It is free entry, so you’ve really got no excuse not to come…

To RSVP to any (or all!) of these 3 screenings, just click here.

Spread the word, and thank you for your support!
